I didn’t realize that KNOCK KNOCK was a remake until today. This is the film it remade. I like this one better as it has that wild 70s exploitation aesthetic. I also love when San Francisco was used for more movie locations. This has a better finale than KNOCK KNOCK.
This version on Amazon is another “Sprocket” film which means it’s cut. Soon as I saw the logo appear I knew that likely either nudity or violence was edited out. Appears to be the case since the actual runtime is 91 minutes but this version is 85 minutes. Probably the nude scenes when the girls first take bath then have sex with George (Seymour Cassel!).
Checking with IMDb that seems to be the case since several the keywords associated with this movie include “nude” or “nudity”. This is disappointing that Amazon is including these Sprocket films into their catalog as I’m sure there is nothing in this film that isn’t in other non-edited films available. I may just not bother with anymore if I see that logo again.
I wonder if Vinegar Syndrome has released this. It’s right up their alley. I’d like to see the uncut version.
