FF2017 Day 4 - Movie 3. Probably my favorite film of the festival. It’s remarkable what Joseph Kahn was able to do here essentially flipping racism and social commentary on its ear to illustrate the pervasiveness in our culture. Yet he uses Battle Rap as the vehicle to showcase how its accepted and when lines get crossed. Just an amazing accomplishment and one I won’t soon forget.
