Viewing Notes

FF2017 Day 6/Movie 2 - well-made film but one that didn’t work for me. The crux of the story is the bullying and alienation of the main teenage girl as she deals with finding her place and being accepted. Her outcast mother has her own issues and presents challenges to her daughter attempting to get along in the world. This is bad poured on top of bad with almost no redeeming characters. Perhaps my least favorite of the festival but it resonated with many people at the fest.
