Overview
A newly-married woman becomes frustrated as her husband, a reindeer herder for an Arctic village, spends much of his time away. Desperate for affection, she visits a shaman who offers a potion that makes her irresistibly desirable, with unexpected and deadly results.

Viewing Notes
Second movie at the third annual TOMORROW ROMANCE HALLOWEEN HORRORTHON, a 16hr mystery movie marathon at The Den Theatre, Chicago. The hint for this one: “Classic folk-horror from the frozen north.” My guess was A Warning to the Curious. Way off again!
Second film of the TR horrorthon and a real gem. Did not expect a b&w Lapland witch movie from 1952 at this horrorthon but what a beautiful film. I love the lead girl and how she lures men to kill them to survive. Excellent imagery and cinematography. Very inspired programming by Coffman.
