Viewing Notes

This hardcore torture gore isn’t really my thing. It’s just mean spirited and brutal torment that’s almost like a snuff film. The FX are excellent however and it’s half-demo reel for super gore and dismemberment horror. I don’t honestly believe that either victim would stay conscious after enduring any of this. Very sadistic and dark.

Crazy that Kôji Shiraishi was tagged to direct Sadako vs. Kayako. That film is so light spirited and tongue-in-cheek humorous compared to his earlier work like this or Carved or Teke Teke.
