Viewing Notes

Figured I go see this given that I heard that seeing any of the sequels wasn’t necessary (haven’t seen any of the sequels). This is true as it’s just the same plot device used in the first movie (and subsequent films I guess) of having a group of people that have to solve mousetrap death machines to survive. The story employs two timelines which is confusing towards the end but wraps it up in an exposition dump. Movie is fun and well made but I gotta say this is a step backwards for the Spierig brothers given their other recent films.
