Viewing Notes
The things I do… not the worst recent animated feature but not very good. I have no problem with the nativity story since I’ve seen this story retold many times over the years. This movie reminds me of Rankin & Bass animated features, Nestor, the Long–Eared Christmas Donkey for obvious comparisons (I’m sure that was part of the inspiration for this movie). Despite the good cast this suffers from rather dull story beats and subpar animation. I’ve seen better animation in video games. Definitely didn’t spend a lot in that area. Guessing most of the budget went to the voice actors.
