Viewing Notes

Weird Jackie Chan movie where he doesn’t appear until the 23 minute mark. Andy Lau, second billed, doesn’t appear until 30 minutes. There are a lot of characters and subplots that I was beginning to wonder if this dubbed Lionsgate DVD (labeled THE PRISONER, the US title) was trimmed. It is: approx 30min are cut from the original version. Even TMDb lists the edited runtime of 95min.

Would appear that more of the character back stories are what’s missing so you have these subplots that never feel fully fleshed out.
