Really great that we got a big screen event for this movie courtesy of Daily Grindhouse, Front Row and AGFA. It’s not often you get to see Meiko Kaji in the theater. In fact I think this is the first movie I’ve seen of hers on the big screen. That’s a shame because she has so much presence even when she’s not the focus of the scene. This installment in the SCR series is just as relevant today with racism being the core of the story. I wish we’d get all the SCR films at the theater. Kinda surprised we haven’t gotten Meiko’s other films as a rep screening already (Lady Snowblood, Female Prisoner Scorpion, Blind Woman’s Curse, etc).
