Viewing Notes

I enjoy the Detective K films even though they tend to be a bit convoluted (in line w/much of Korean cinema). This may be the most fantastical of the three films in the current series as Detective K is solving a string a murders by a vampire while assisted by an undead not fully realized vampire woman. Not a comedy but the usual humor beats between him and his “Watson” sidekick in Oh Dal-su, who is typically the comedy character in most of his films. I like Kim Ji-Won as she as most of the emotional arc in the film.

As much as l enjoy these films and Sherlock Holmes duo in old Korea they are mostly forgettable. I couldn’t tell what occurred in the previous two films, which I also saw in theater.
