Was pretty excited that TKU was broadcasting this. Didn’t realize it was almost 2hrs! The downside of the live broadcast is just that; can’t pause and the commercial interruptions just appear regardless if it’s mid-sentence. That said it’s understandable why this was a huge failure. It’s all over the place from animation styles to slapstick to sex to weird mashing of story and history and science fiction. I believe Third Window is eventually releasing the restored film (this was an old fansub) so it will be nice to watch uninterrupted. Such a fascinating and strange film.
