Viewing Notes

Whoa Seijun Suzuki is one of the embalmers! And it’s a fairly big role.

Interesting to view this and The Nameless together (got them both from Netflix unplanned). They kinda relate (also both released in 1999). In this film, the murdered or suicided boy has a mysterious death that leads to his head going missing and a goose chase to retrieve the head. A few shady characters are met along the way with some bizarre reveals. Not a great movie but again a film of ambition by director Shinji Aoyama during his earlier years. Cool to see Hitomi Miwa again.
