Offers a real depiction of modern parenting and the challenges of wanting the best for their kid but also facing possible gender issues. Resonates bc I know young parents who have dealt with similar challenges. Claire Danes x Octavia Spencer x Priyanka Chopra = fire. Solid film but also an easy mark for privilege / white people problems, which is unfortunate bc this is still a story worth being told for the issues it addresses. Ann Dowd is also really great here.
