Viewing Notes

Excited to see this on 35!

It was nice to watch this again… this time on the big screen. Chicago Film Society loves Eastwood so there’s usually at least one Eastwood film programmed per season. When Kyle introduced the film he said, “It’s an ugly movie. It’s a stupid movie. But it’s a movie we like.”

I haven’t seen the film in almost 10 years so it was interesting to view now given how shitty the women in the film are treated by the men, including Eastwood’s Coogan. Often uncomfortable to view. Also wild to see that Pan Am helicopter that would bring passengers into the city and drop them on top of the Pan Am building.
