Viewing Notes
This is like dime store James Bond. Harry Sennet is “Bond” in this case and the story has all the story beats and femme fatales and crazy set pieces yet lacks the charisma and cohesion that makes most Bond films decent films. The finale begins 2/3s into the film and goes on forever. I’m a Margheriti apologist but this is a bit tiresome as all you’re wanting more or expecting more from all the usual Bond characters, from Sennet to the super villain and his lair.
