Viewing Notes

This flick has gotten a lot of mentions in my TL recently and since I haven’t seen it this seemed like a good time to check it off. Also worth noting that the opening kill scene is featured in the horror documentary I saw at Windy City Horrorama and asked Coffman what that was from (this very movie). So I was eager to view this flick bc of that too (just didn’t expect all the online chatter about it).

Anyways, I’m surprised that I didn’t watch this around the time it was released. Maybe the bad ratings kept me away but this is a decent supernatural horror thriller. Solid cast that includes Karl Urban back in his bit role days. Wild to see baby girl Emily Browning as one of the featured leads.

I’d say this is worth viewing just for that opening scene, which is pretty awesome.
