Learned today that Stepfather 1, 2 & 3 are on Prime so I decided to spin up the first one again bc I was wondering how it set up a sequel w/the same main character. Plus I’m always down for Jill Schoelen flicks.
I wonder if they hadn’t opened with the murder scene conceit would it change how the movie worked the audience… the viewer knows up front this is a bad dude so you know things will go south. But what if you didn’t know he was bad but just doing all these strange things leading up to it along w/the clues about the previous murder scene.
