Viewing Notes

Quite a fascinating and introspective way of storytelling by have two stories happening concurrently using images and words. The spoken Japanese is soothing yet tells a story of Romi and Milou living in Japan caring for an older Japanese man; it gets dark fast. The visual story is the present as Romi is now caring for a paraplegic Milou. But there is no indication of how Milou came to be this way. Trippy flick and nice discovery for MUBI.
