Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.

Another off-the-shelf grab at the library bc I was curious about this film and its notorious production/distribution problems going back several years.
This despite having not seen any other Amityville movie including the original (I’ve seen clips and whatnot over the years but never watched the entire movie).
Correction: I have seen Amityville Death House which is barely a movie and the Amityville Horror remake from 2005 but it’s not logged here. Actually I didn’t mind that remake so much (feat. Ryan Reynolds). They reference the remake in this movie!
Btw this is not a good movie and the years of development and filming can be seen in the mismatched scenes. It starts in a decent place then spirals downward by the midpoint to make for a tidy quick finale.
