Overview
A young nurse is kidnapped by a group of violent teens who escape from a mental hospital and take her on the road trip from hell. Pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge, one of the teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind, moulding him into a monster named Leatherface.

Haven’t heard good things but I like these directors so…
This feels / reads more like an origin story for the Firefly family rather than the Sawyer family.
Fun bit of misdirection here but overall feels unneeded and somehow pushes sympathy for a despicable family (akin to the Firefly folks in Devil’s Rejects). Of course they have to make the cops nearly as bad. Good gore and violence but everything else is mean spirited just because.
