Second opening night movie at Noir City. Enjoyed this a lot more than Devil in a Blue Dress (the opening feature also directed by Carl Frankin). Maybe it’s having Bill Paxton as the lead but this Point A to Point B crime thriller does what it’s supposed to do. It’s brutal and mean yet sympathetic in the right places. Had this been made in the 40s with the same premise it could be a film noir (and it wouldn’t be so graphic with the violence).
