Day 1 - Film 2
Second film of Fantastic Fest was this Swedish mystery thriller that plays almost like a compressed TV mini-series with wild tonal shifts and an melodrama introduction to the characters. Then things get really nuts with a few “holy shit” moments and decent science fiction beats. Didn’t care for the lead protagonist but like what this directing collective (5 directors!) did on a very small budget. Avoid spoilers and/or reviews that cover specific plot points. Go in blind on this one.
