Day 3 Film 1
Generally enjoyed this high concept science fiction mystery thriller. It reminded me of a short story I read years ago so it was interesting to see a full feature on this premise, which could’ve easily been a well-executed short film. A large part of this is a bit on the nose silly and a tad flawed (the dialogue used by these isolated girls in particular). However, the young actors are very strong especially Katie Douglas who is tasked with the biggest part and emotional weight of the story. She sorta recalls Annie Potts in her look but I found her captivating to watch as she runs thru all the emotions necessary to make this believable. I’d watch this again just on the strength of her performance.
