My AMC has two new Korean films. It’s like an extension of this year’s FF theme!
Plenty of obvious beats in this hostage thriller but still entertaining to see it all come together. Hyun Bin is the anti-hero arms dealer that’s taken hostages in Thailand some mysterious reason while Son Ye-jin is the negotiator in Seoul tasked with resolving the situation. Both are way too beautiful for these roles but sure I’ll suspend my belief because there’s a crazy plot of high level corruption happening and fuck those guys.
Had a lot of fun with this one.
