Viewing Notes

Finally watching this. Didn’t realize that some of the actors like Marika Matsumoto are actually themselves not a character. Not sure how I feel about that since others are characters played by actors. Otherwise this is a really good flick and totally lives up to the rave reviews I’ve seen. Wasn’t sure I’d stay awake with the format here—pseudo found footage / true crime investigation but it managed to hook me w/the Japanese tv program, which looks totally authentic. This I like Marika Matsumoto as this actress haunted by something but going along w/the investigative reporting. Pretty frightening by the end.
