Started my only day at CIFF with this film which sounded interesting from the program synopsis. Unfortunately it’s not quite that good in execution. It barely has a narrative but the one I will go with is dog goes missing, is found then leaves. Not really a spoiler because that’s just what I cared about in this movie that was trying to make me fall asleep.
Granted I was tired but holy shit this movie was boring me to sleep. I give it credit for showing me a side of poor rural suburban Buenos Aires set in the 90s that I haven’t seen. That aspect fascinated me from the music and ideals and living without electricity and being fine with it. Didn’t give a lick about the main characters or supporting characters.
Ah well.
