Viewing Notes

Fullscreen, poor PQ transfer on a DVD western films set I got from the library. They didn’t have the new restoration blu but if I like this movie I’ll put it on the list.

So I feel like I’ve seen a movie with a similar premise: protag has amnesia but slowly comes to remember his past including that he’s a badass fighter/gunfighter. Maybe not a western? Anyhoo this is ripe for an updated remake as this version is a tad dull in delivery. Has some bursts of action and good characters but could be handled so much better and exciting given the story. Like put Statham in this as a fish out of water in the old west that lost his memory and has to figure out what happened.

Full confession: I picked this up bc of Rosanna Schiaffino, whom I just saw in TWO WEEKS and is super cute in that flick. Here she’s 10 years older and while she’s gorgeous as ever she barely resembles that character. So wild.
