Viewing Notes

Neat that Criterion included this documentary on Nicholas Ray, which is quite fascinating to see him work during his later stages of his career. Makes sense why they put it on the release for IN A LONELY PLACE bc he discusses the film during the doc and how important it is to him, incl. filming the final scene which they also show. So you have to watch the film before this otherwise the ending will be spoiled. What’s really cool is to see Truffaut expressing his love for JOHNNY GUITAR.
