UPDATE: Third Window was successful in getting it taken down. Not sure why they waited until tonight but hopefully not too much damage was done.
Somehow an illegal bootleg of this was posted to Amazon Prime. How the fuck does that happen. Last night Twitter was buzzing about it and watched it today because initially it was rumored to be a mistake release (not bootleg) so it would be taken down. Then it turns out within the last hour or so (while I was watching) that this is an illegal version. It’s obvious within the first few minutes that something is wrong. The PQ is terrible. Really bad. Then the subtitles are sketchy.
I watched the entire film because I’ve seen it already but this is not a version I would recommend for anyone who hasn’t seen it. Just a very poor version of such an amazing film. I regret watching it now because it will hurt it’s distribution in the US / UK now as Third Window has noted. Feel bad for them after the huge success of this film.
