Viewing Notes

Wonder if I should’ve revisited the first movie, which I also saw here. I think I enjoy the first film more mainly due to the cast. They replaced the cast with a new group for this sequel and they’re fine but lack the superstar level charisma. The movie is equally batshit as this team goes on this wild adventure in search of a magical orb. Basically this is a Chinese THE LOST WORLD but here it’s a floating island instead of a plateau. They encounter flying worms, giant Komodo dragons, killer fish, giant shrimp, giant snake and some powerful fireflies. Good adventure wrapped in a silly story and crazy monster animals. My kind of movie!
