Suppose this film would be the most Shirley Temple formulaic of that “drop a charming little girl into a hostile situation to solve all problems” template. Given the context this one really lays it on thick but I give it points for Cesar Romero and being earnest despite its overly romantic and simplistic view of the British colonialism in India during this war.
