Did I see this last year?? No, I saw MK2 last year.
This one is pretty much on par w/the first two films. And they can keep making them bc they are fun if not entirely great. This one, like the others, overstays its welcome by 15-20min or so. It really drags in that third act even with a big action setpiece. The first half of the movie is really good w/the core group (MK, Monk, Pig and Blue) getting thrown into a hidden island inhabited by only women who believe men are poison. Plenty of humor and I laughed a few times.
Then things get more serious and the movie gets tedious. I don’t think these have made money in China but given they have around 30 production companies invested maybe they can keep making them w/that core cast?
