Another film restored by the byNWR team (NWR) for MUBI. I don’t believe this is a documentary but rather a comedy / mockumentary disguised as such. Unless this is really what the scholars thought about about lesbians in the 1960s.

Yep, this isn’t a real documentary. There’s one scene in particular where the narrator says how lesbians will fight to the death for their partner and literally two women fight until they’re both bloody (not gory) and one dies then the other leaves the room w/her girl. So hokey. But as a document of its time this is pretty funny despite not being a good movie. More than anything it’s neat to see NYC in the 1960s.
