Viewing Notes
This is a rough movie to rate. Very well made and excellent acting by all leads and supporting cast. However, this is an awful story of a demented “man of god” who believes and does some real heinous things. I’m now watching the interviews w/Guy Pearce and I guess he was going thru some bad times in 2015 when he was approached to do the film so that translated into his performance. He’s a real bad dude who is tough to watch bc he has no redeeming qualities.
Like this is a dark movie that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone but it does its job conveying the story and definitely had me anxious throughout most of it.
