Viewing Notes

Agnès Varda passed away today or last night. I know her and her work thru much of the film crowd I follow. But I’ve never dived into her oeuvre. She was a huge contributor to film, independent and avante garde filmmaking with a career spanning some 70 years. Just amazing. Today I picked up a few discs from the library to acquaint myself with Agnès Varda.

Decided to start with this one unknowing of how charming and wonderful it would be. I’ve seen something similar about this wild houseboat culture and I’m wondering if it was also in Sausalito. Having been there I had no idea but also does it still exist?

I’m looking forward to viewing more of Varda’s films over the coming days/weeks.
