Overview
A peace treaty between the Earth and the Black World, a parallel universe of demons, is coming to an end. Two cops, Taki, a human male, and Maki, a female demon, are assigned to protect a diplomat who will help secure another treaty. A radical group of demons from the Black World are out to assassinate the diplomat and prevent the treaty; only the bond that forms between the two cops can save the Earth from destruction.

Haven’t seen this in 20 years. I think I have the live action remake on dvd.
Holy shit, this is basically a softcore porn inside an insane action sci-fi anime. I recalled this being provocative but guess I forgot just how much… geez. This is full on sex and alien tentacle sex. Wouldn’t be as shocking if this was a mid-90s flick but for 1987 it is. Normally I wouldn’t even tag “nudity” on an anime flick but wow it’s actually a big part of the story; aliens impersonating humans (or possessing them) then having sex with humans to steal their essence or something (sex juice?).
I can say even despite being a CatIII film, the HK remake isn’t nearly as gratuitous as this anime. There is nothing subtle here. Honestly it’s distracting from the main story of the failing alliance between the Earth and the aliens.
I mean, even the TMDb description includes this: “Sex is strongly associated with violence in many graphic scenes; although this is intended to play a symbolic role, this theme is used excessively. The story is effective, but the film is definitely not for children or anyone easily offended.”
Kinda hilarious this is on YouTube. I can imagine being a teen and being so happy to discover this. Would hate it as a parent. “oh dad we’re just watching some cartoon”
