Overview
In the adorably different town of Uglyville, weirdness is celebrated, strangeness is special and beauty is embraced as more than meets the eye. After traveling to the other side of a mountain, Moxy and her UglyDoll friends discover Perfection—a town where more conventional dolls receive training before entering the real world to find the love of a child.

Wasn’t my first pick but they had a 4pm showing and I have to be home for an appt later so this gets my AList.
Yeah, this isn’t very good. Perhaps the musical numbers are the best thing (only Kelly Clarkson and Janelle Monáe). This is yet another tired “ugly duckling” story where the UglyDolls want to be like the beautiful dolls so they get sent to human owner. It’s a checklist for every trope and not a bit original or interesting. I give it a medium grade (5/10) bc I think this is something very young kids will tune into on Netflix and enjoy. I think. Maybe.
