Picked this off the shelf at my library bc I was totally unfamiliar with it. It’s a rather short feature (60 minutes of actual narrative time) that borrows a little from the SAW premise but in a wholly unique way. An ex-boxer wakes up chained in an abandoned warehouse and finds himself with two people from his past. He must kill the one he finds least desirable (keep the person of the two that he loves the most). As one person is killed another appears and he must make the decision again in order to save himself.
Clearly a micro-budget but interesting if not entirely effective by the end. There’s a “making of” on the DVD that I found more compelling to see how they pulled off some of the FX and shots. Overall not bad but suffers from a big problem: why should we care about this ex-boxer, these people or this dilemma? The main character only gets worse over time.
