The King of Far Far Away has died and Shrek and Fiona are to become King & Queen. However, Shrek wants to return to his cozy swamp and live in peace and quiet, so when he finds out there is another heir to the throne, they set off to bring him back to rule the kingdom.

Thought I had seen this one but nope. Easily the best animation of the three Shrek feature films but the story is a bit forced like they really didn’t have any great ideas to match the first two films and sorta threw this one together. Probably hoping the improved animation and exceptional voice cast would be enough… it kinda was given how much this movie grossed worldwide but holy shit that $160M budget?! WTF
Seriously. There is no good reason that a film like this should cost that much to make.
