This is an odd flick given how it’s billed / marketed. You’d expect a sex comedy with three young women taking over a drive-in restaurant in revealing outfits as carhops. But it’s not really that at all. No nudity or sex. It’s really just a comedy about this women running the restaurant that the bank wants to take over and tries to run them out of business. It’s not half bad but it has these periods where the camera just lingers on the ocean horizon or the sunset on the hills. For no real reason.
Definitely a product of its time but not exploitation / grindhouse. Interesting that it was directed by Barbara Peeters and written by Stephanie Rothman.
