Viewing Notes

So I like Rudy Maxa but it also drives me crazy… mostly from his mispronunciation of common words. Like Kyoto he pronounces it “KEE-Oh-toe” or “ryokan” as “REE-Oh-Khan”. Ugh it’s so annoying to hear over and over. But I like him and that he’s not always doing the most popular thing or visiting all the well-known attractions. Yes, he hits some top spots but it’s not all top stops.

I decided that Rudy reminds me of our friend Pat. He resembles Pat if Pat were 10 years older and also kinda speaks/sounds the same. Rudy just lacks the cynicism.

I’m listening to the commentary (which is hilarious that he and his other producer Susan even do these). Rudy is a likable guy and I’d love to meet him and talk to him about his trips.
