I’ve intentionally put off viewing this movie for a long time. Despite the rather stacked cast this is absolutely the kind of film that I don’t gravitate towards. At all. Like not going to the cinema to watch nor watching at home if I have the choice. Yet over the 10 years since this movie was released (geez, has it been over 10 years already?! Damn, I remember when this was released), it keeps popping up in my lists when I’m hunting actors to watch.
Natalie Portman, yep. Maggie Q, sure. Ethan Hawke, uh-huh. Irrfan Khan, you bet. Olivia Thirlby, natch. Shu Qi, oh yeah. etc etc etc
This cast is ridiculous. Since I was pulling Shu Qi titles the other day this came up again as available (at my library) so I finally pulled the request trigger. ~sigh~
