Was lucky to catch an early screening of this period monster short film at G-Fest. Directer Daisuke Sato was at the festival for some panels and to premiere a shortened version of this film. I believe this version only runs 15 minutes or so compared to the final version of 45 minutes. But this has all the main story components including the wonderful creature Nebula and the destruction it causes.
I contributed to the Kickstarter for this (it’s the first model / suit work by Keizo Murase in several years. I attended his panels last year when they discussed making this movie. Also his props from his film were on display.
I guess I wasn’t paying attention that this movie was going to utilize marionette puppets for all the characters. That was neat. The sets and village are very nice. I really like the creature the most. Looking forward to the final version which should be available soon.
