Viewing Notes

Really didn’t even know about this Disney Original movie until it was mentioned in the Wendy Wu extras (Brenda Song discussed working with Lohan in this film). Not even sure what it’s about.

Reluctant tagging NYC given this movie was produced in Toronto (but set in NYC!). One of those “it’s obvious they didn’t shoot in NYC despite the establishing shots” type of movies. Seems like such a Disney thing to make the main character an affluent white girl that has to deal with using public transportation for the first time despite living in NYC yet her sense of wealth helps solve the case. Ugh

Maybe the only interesting thing about this Scooby Gang knock-off is seeing a 15yo Lindsay Lohan act (she’s good) and a 13yo Brenda Song as her sidekick. Amanda Plummer is still the best actor here (no surprise).
