Viewing Notes

RIP Rutger Hauer

Gonna watch a few RH flicks I haven’t seen to celebrate his life and for being such a memorable and amazing actor from my childhood through adulthood. Always loved when he had appearance in a film whether it was a leading role or small supporting part, his character was usually unforgettable.

Strangely enough I’ve never seen LADYHAWKE. Always been aware of it but not sure how it’s escaped me all these years. Probably why it was one of the first DVDs I purchased back in the early days of DVD. So early in fact this is a shitty ass flipper disc w/Standard Fullscreen being the primary side and the widescreen version on the back in embedded in a 4:3 frame. Just the worst. I’m watching a film with a 7” x 9” border around the picture. I dearly hope this has gotten a decent Blu release. My library only had the same release as this one.

Anyways, here’s to you Rutger! Thank you for all the great films.

Would love to see this on the big screen!
