Corinna witnesses how three guys chase and shoot a man in front of her lonesome house. As only witness, they force her to come with them and care for the guy’s wound. But she manages to flee shortly after and takes Blondi to a doctor. He tells her his story, how he used to smuggle drugs, but one day fled with a suitcase full of money. Corinna inexplicably falls in love with him and decides to accompany him on his further flight. But the villains are close behind them.

RIP Rutger Hauer, who passed away today at 75. To celebrate this amazing actor I’m watching a few of his films.
A very early Rutger Hauer movie in his diverse catalog of genre film. Wonder if this could be considered a late stage krimi. OK, so not really a krimi by definition but perhaps krimi adjacent. A smuggler (Hauer) double crosses the boss then becomes the target of said boss and his cronies. The beautiful Vera Tschechowa gets caught up in this cat & mouse chase and falls for bad boy Blondie (Hauer). Pretty straight forward but enough to keep the viewer invested. Sadly this was the English dub and a large part of Hauer is his voice. I’d like to see the original German language of this film.
RIP Rutger. Definitely one of a kind.
