A compelling indie flick that features Rutger Hauer as a author / professor who holds an entrancing control over his students. The story jumps back and forth in time showing him when he was teaching to after his death and how this one student, Matthew Davis as Carter, was so deeply affected by his time w/Hauer (Sandy Pollard).
Pretty cool to see Hauer in a very different role outside of much of his genre work. This story has been told before but given the low budget I’m impressed with the camera work and actors. Davis is good but both Dagmara Domińczyk and Susan Misner are quite great as the love interests.
RIP Rutger Hauer
