Overview
Set in Qin Dynasty during the warring states period in ancient China. Shin was a war orphan. He has a dream of becoming a great general Shin has a fateful encounter with young King Eisei. King Eisei aims to unify all of China.

Viewing Notes
When I saw the trailers leading up to the release in Japan during the spring I never imagined that it would show up in theaters here… let alone in the same year.
Fuck yes this is totally my shit. I want to see it again! Maybe tomorrow… hmmm
Makes me want to revisit Princess Blade, which I haven’t seen in years. Also AZUMI. Shares a lot w/that flick in the action. Masami Nagasawa character seems to be modeled after Azumi, like a slightly older version but still kicks ass. I knew it was coming b/c it’s one of those predictable story beats but I love her character introduction.
Used an AMC free pass that I got last year so that was cool.
