Brutal AF. Makes the opening of Saving Private Ryan seem like a school play. So much blood and death. Guessing this won’t be released in Japan despite having Japanese stars (as you might expect, the Japanese soldiers are not portrayed in the best light here).
Kazuki Kitamura is a great villain (again). He just has that look that you know something ain’t right. Such an evil bastard in this.
I’ve now seen Ryu Jun-yeol in three new films this year. Each so different and his characters so different yet he has been impressive in all. This character is my favorite of the three. He’s the captain of a small band of rebels and a sniper. He gets some nice hero scenes.
