Viewing Notes

So this was the first film in a double feature at Noir City last weekend that featured two films I had not seen before. I had thought about going to MBT to catch the double but once I found the DVD for both films at my library I decided to save the $15 and trip.

Good decision. On one hand, it would be cool to see this early Lloyd Bridges flick in 35mm b/c the transfer on this Film Noir Set is terrible. Still watchable but I’m sure the 35mm print was nice. On the other hand, this isn’t such a great movie so I’m not regretting having to miss it in theater.

It features Bridges as a released felon who may help the Feds bust a counterfeit ring but he has his own plans. He’s fun to watch but when the story removes him the movie goes flat.
